Praise for this book
“Tho it is a children's literature but still I like it. The story is about the mouse "Fionn" who is trying his best to save his land from the "Lord Malus" and his army of rats, Weasels and falcons..
The little warrior try his best to save his land from evils along with his friends. He faced different challenges on his journey of freedom. But did he get rid of evils and free his land??
The story is fast paced and the characters are well developed. There were many plot twists to keep readers hooked. This book holds so many lessons for children the struggles and hardwork of Fionn shows how you can achieve anything if you work hard and the love for ones land.
It's a good read for children from 9-14 age.”
This book is such a wonderful tale. I loved the characters and how the author brought them to life in the pages. The illustrations are great. It’s a must read.
The evil falcon, Malus with his army of falcons, rats and weasels is slowly taking over the homes and lands of the mice, squirrels, badgers, hares, otters and hedgehogs living in Tara. When his uncle and brother are captured, the mouse Fionn sets out to rescue them. This results in an intriguing story full of mystery, suspense, friendships and lots of surprises.
This is a fast-moving story and I loved how honourable, honest and fair Fionn was. He made wise choices and had good values. I enjoyed reading this story.
One can't help but get nostalgic when viewing this story through the eyes of the young protagonist Fionn, a mouse who dreams to be a warrior to save his people. Shades of the most beloved animal protaganists (Stuart Little,...NYMH) on every page. And the illustrations in this book are incredible and such a welcome surprise! The story all delves into some darker tones as well, but with the energy of more serious YA novels (Hunger Games, Ender Series) while being very accessible through this fleshed-out animal fantasy world. The themes of family, conflict, self-sacrifice, and bravery are woven brilliantly across this hero's journey with lots of exciting twists and action along the way. This is a book both my kids and I will enjoy for years to come.
